The Georg Elser Bridge carries Zschocher Street over the (Little) Luppe River. The bridge site itself is ancient: the Via Regia already crossed the small river here. After a second bridge was built in Lindenau around 1865 (the present-day Anger Bridge), the old bridge was called the "Gasthof Bridge" (Inn Bridge) after its location. On January 20, 2020, it was decided to rename it after Georg Elser (1903–1945), the man who attempted to assassinate Hitler.
