The Sythener Hellweg is the oldest route between Dülmen and Haltern. At the Hausdülmen mill pond, the Sythener Hellweg crossed the Heubach stream via a wooden bridge. In 1705, Friedrich Christian von Plettenberg built a stone bridge. His coat of arms is mounted on a sandstone plaque on the central arch of the bridge, facing upstream.
