    Wikipedia:
The Schanerloch Bridge is a road structure along the Ebniterstraße, a mountain road approximately ten kilometers long from Dornbirn to the mountain village of Ebnit. The bridge was built in 2005 by the architectural firm Marte.Marte Architekten. Construction costs amounted to €300,000.

    Architecture

The bridge is the result of pushing the boundaries of the arch form using modern technologies. The arch is reduced to a static minimum while simultaneously being twisted. This allows it to adapt to the curves of the existing road. It appears particularly impressive from the banks of the Dornbirner Ache, which winds its way through the gorge.

    Technical Data

The bridge has a mean span of 21 meters and is between five and six meters wide. The minimum roadway width is 4.20 meters. The reinforced concrete arch is very slender and only about 35 cm thick at its thinnest point. The foundations were built on both sides on the existing, load-bearing bedrock, and the deck was constructed of high-performance concrete. The bridge meets bridge class I and is therefore suitable for vehicles with a payload of up to 40 tons. Approximately 160 m³ were used in its construction. High-strength, high-quality concrete and approximately 20 m³ of infill concrete were used. Around 25 tons of steel were used for reinforcement.
