Information of www.wikipedia.de:

The S-train line with the Warschauer Straße station is today under the railway bridge called Warschauer Brücke. At this point the railway gate was located before the construction of the bridge in the wall for the railway line opened in 1842 to Frankfurt (Oder). Through this gate led in 1872 about 30 tracks, which all crossed the Warschauer Straße. The bridge was essential to be able to use both the road and the railway line as a traffic artery. The bridge was completed in 1875, in the following years she was repeatedly rebuilt and expanded. Until the mid-1930s the iron structure was corroded strongly through the steam of the railways, a renovation was necessary. This only took place on the northern part of the bridge and was interrupted by the outbreak of the second world war. In the year 1945 collapsed the already rebuilt part of the bridge in consequence of a bomb hit and made the Warsaw bridge impassable. Until 1948 it could be released again for transport. A general overhaul carried out 1966/1967 in East Germany and a further stabilisation and renewal from 1995 to 1997, with support from the European Fund for regional support.
