    Castle on a stone arch bridge<br><br>Information of Klaus Bernhardt:<br>The oldest part of the castle of Chenonceaux (on the left) was donated by King Heinrich II. his Mistress Diane of Poitiers. They had built the 5 arched bridge. After the death of Henry II., his wife Catherine of Medici Castle took over and built from 1570 on the bridge a 2stöckiges Castle (on the picture on the right).
