The western boundary of Section 81 Block X Mangamuka SD marks the shoreline as it was in the 1840s. The bridge's location at the intersection of three current land titles stems from its original waterfront construction, where it connected two land titles, now Section 57 Block X Mangamuka and DP23934, Kohukohu Township. Harbor reclamation, largely due to the activities of the adjacent former Kohukohu lumber mill, means the bridge is no longer at the harbor's edge. The mill began operating in 1879, closed in 1909, and was demolished in 1912. The bridge no longer serves as a thoroughfare, as the bowling alley's perimeter fence restricts access on the north side, and a school building occupies its southern path. Access is now via the recreation reserve along the creek from Kohukohu Road to the east.
These bridges are now accessible through the recreation reserve along the creek from Kohukohu Road to the east. Therefore, it is difficult to provide meaningful dimensions for the bridge's footprint –
