The Newmarket Viaduct in Auckland, New Zealand, is a major 700-meter-long, seven-lane motorway bridge (State Highway 1) that was replaced between 2009 and 2012 at a cost of approximately NZD 215 million. The replacement structure replaced the dilapidated 1966 bridge to withstand the high volume of traffic, with the replacement taking place while traffic continued to flow.
