    <br>Architects pupils / students Witte<br><br>These two closely adjacent pedestrian bridge, built in extension of the Lichtenstein Avenue to connect the Zoo with its extension grounds North of the Landwehr Canal. One of the two bridges combines the two remaining outside of the Zoo shoreline with walkers because of the Tiergarten.
 
 The bridges spanning the channel as skew, arched truss constructions made of steel tubes. Their main supports rest on the banks on each continuous reinforced concrete beams, which are founded on steel stilts.
 
 Static system and construction features:
 Pipe continuous truss over three fields with tie rods (pendulum rods on the abutments). Two buildings with three or five equally trained dreifeldrigen main trusses, which are connected by pipes in lower and upper belt level. Diagonal associations sheet at the supports and in the peloton, stiff from the construction in the transverse direction. The tread surface consists of 12 cm thick pine wood plank. Superstructure of the bridge the public bridge was named Rosa Luxembourg provided and to the Zoo, superstructure of the bridge retains its old name Hinrich Lichtenstein 1 Director of the Berlin Zoo. see newspaper's cut from the Berliner Zeitung of the 25.9.2012 under the pictures.
