Until 1912/13 a new bridge with a width of 19.90 metres was built according to a design by Ludwig Hoffmann. Vaulted ceilings and parapet were given a facing of limestone. In the 2nd World War the parapet and the pages were cut through badly damaged, the northern and the Central Vault. 1957-58 was the Island Bridge part reconstructs, 1999 started the final recovery.
