The new green road in the South Center (old Cölln/new Cölln on the water), it connects the fishing island in the North channel of the river Spree. in 1699, a wooden bascule bridge was built, which was up to the decision of the Municipal Council in 1903 to build the Green road bridge in operation. in 1905, the bridge for traffic, built according to a design by Richard Wolffenstein was released. The Green Street Bridge has a massive vault and a width of 17.70 m. views and parapet are from shell limestone. the vault was blown up in 1945. 1951 was the repair and 1990-1995 the comprehensive reconstruction of the bridge, which can be used only as a pedestrian bridge, because more there is no road access on the island of the fishermen.
