The Cardinal Frings Bridge, originally built as the South Bridge between 1950 and 1951, connects Düsseldorf-Hamm to Neuss. In June 2005, the cities of Neuss and Düsseldorf officially renamed the South Bridge the Cardinal Frings Bridge. The right-bank embankment bridge and approach bridge date from 1929, as does the left-bank embankment bridge.
