Information by Heidi Zahir:

This bridge was as a replacement for the first Düsseldorf post-war bridge built in 1946-1948 as a continuous makeshift bridge was built in the years 1973-1975 in a knee bridge-like construction, but only with a load-bearing central pillar.
The pre-war and first Düsseldorf bridge at all (truss bridge, built in 1896-1898, already 1925-26 due to the increasing traffic widened 2 x 181 m span, two gate towers, Jutland, in 1933 renamed - bridge) was most 3.3.1945 were blown by the Wehrmacht.
Today carries a 35 m wide and 590,50 m-long bridge with four lanes, cycle and footpaths and 10 m wide one of only 100 m high pylon on four symmetrical harnesses railway area over which runs the Rhine railway remote line to Krefeld.
The liberalisation of the free electricity for shipping is far at this point nearly 258 m.
A special feature of the architectural history of this bridge is worth mentioning. The weight of the steel bridge is 12 000 t.
As the name of the bridge says, arriving on the West Bank of the Rhine in the 1909 incorporated district.

Architect: Friedrich Tamms
Mantel height: 3.15 m
