Foundation) and newly built along historical lines. The bridge connects the regions of Mecklenburg and Western Pomerania (historical country border is the Trebel)
The shutter function is no longer used because no professional shipping more happens on the Trebel.<br><br>The bridge is being repaired (construction period September - October 2004).<br>The following steps are performed:
-Partial renewal Taira<br>-complete renewal of the abutment, arrangement of towing plates<br>-complete renovation of the bridge railing (replace the Nadelholzes by oak)<br>-Replacing individual damaged wooden parts<br>-Repairing of winches<br>-Renewal of corrosion protection of the steel fittings<br>-Renewal of wood paint<br>
