This bridge was created as part of the Valley road to 1324. In 1544, a certain Johannes Stumpf reported by a "beautiful steinin prucken by a schwybogen gemachtet". After 1766, bey of Massenbrug was talk of on turning points for a guardhouse. (Customs Office). On the 1st of June, 1799, combat despair of Goms and Mörjer against the French took place at the bridge.
