Posted by Helmut Fischer: Unfortunately, I have no image more then 100-year-old bridge, which was the gate to the East. The poor condition of the bridge was the reason for the construction project "Transport solution Lichtenberg". Track-side, there was no other gate to the Republic as the Bf. Berlin - Lichtenberg in addition to small breakpoints in Karlshorst and Schöneweide.
The former F1 was Street / F5 also the gate of East Berlin. The F 158 in Ahrensfelde and the Landsberger Chaussee were limited level crossings and the f 96 you could initially only on the Spree centipede (BAS 39003), about the Elsenbrücke (BAS 1372) in the city later and extend. With the carried traffic solution Lichtenberg, the State in the transport sector of East Berlin was revolutionized. All effort should have cost ultimately rd. 650 million marks of the GDR. With the implementation of this measure, also the base of the apartment locations created Hohenschönhausen, Berlin Marzahn and Hellersdorf.
