The Heath Tower, built around 1281, listened to with the old gate the
only surviving towers, formerly 21 in downtown. By the
47 Towers of the suburbs it was 1820 16 suburban towers, today are
It only 6, 1689 the French razed a large part of the old
Town fortifications. At the beginning of the 18th century, it improved only the
Walls and gates out, most towers were ruins.<br><br>In the twenties and thirties years of the 19th century sold
the City Council, to supplement the narrow city coffers, whole wall
share towers, kennel, and ditches. So stayed only a very modest
Rest until the preserved today.
