    <br>The pedestrian bridge located close to the local pond in the Ruhwaldpark in the facilities of the recreational area in the West of Charlotte City. The two similar buildings along a pedestrian path designed partly as a staircase lead itself part of the sidewalks for the visitors of the Park. The almost 23 m long and good 4 m wide bridges are made of pine wood and blend harmoniously with their natural surroundings. Around 1950 created predecessors, 1964 or 1969 increasing disrepair had to be replaced by new bridges. These have been renewed since then.<br><br>The Ruhwaldpark extends the Spandauer dam up to Ruhwaldweg, near river Spree. He lies a glacial ground moraine of the Teltow on the former Spandauer Berg, 30 m above the river Spree. To the North the mountain drops steeply to the Ruhwaldweg. The Park was designed as Castle Park of the Kommerzienrates Louis Schaeffer voit (1819-1887) 1867/68 by Carl Schwatlo, to him and his wife, two by Carl Cauer remember (1867-1946) created busts in the remnants of the pillared Hall of the castle in the eastern part of the Park. After several changes of owner the site passed in 1925 in municipal ownership. the castle was demolished in 1937. Garden architect Adrian to a public park designed the Park. From the Spandauer Damm from a main road leads past a green area with loose trees to an arcade Hall, a remnant of the Castle. Here starts the descent in the Spree Valley to the North. The levels-rich way passes under some bridges to the pond situated in the depth. More leads the way in western direction past (1915) country house over the Ridge at the former Bechmannschen, now a children's home located. The 10-acre, featured Park has a valuable old trees. A copper beech and a pedunculate oak are protected as nature monuments.
