The lighting of the bridge was painted by the artist Thomas Hagen in Rainbow colors on 7 August 1987. That's why the name "Rainbow Bridge" has become. Demolition of the bridge on August 24, 2008. The bridge is replaced by a new building, which is scheduled to open on October 28, 2008.
