    <br>On the grounds of Tempelhofer Feld, a relaxed Garden City was built between 1920 and 1930 according to the plan of the Tempelhof of building Councillor Fritz Bräuning.<br><br>Boelcke, Oswald, * 19.5.1891 Giebichenstein (Halle/Saale), + 28.10.1916 at Bapaume (Somme), pilot officer. Together with Immelmann, Boelcke is considered as the founder of the German air combat technique. Boelcke was born a Brandenburg family of officials. in 1911, he joined as a cadet in the Telegraph battalion in Koblenz and became an officer in 1912. Since 1916, he was captain and the youngest leader of a fighter squadron. After seven victories, he received the on January 12, 1916 pour le Mérite. He summed up for the first time in 1916 German fighter pilot to a combat unit (fighter squadron) with 12 machines. Boelcke was winner in 40 air combat and was killed by a collision with one of his season.
