From 1448 until 1480, the bridge instead of the bows had a wooden strut frame. Then the stone arches were installed. Originally built fortified tower with a drawbridge.<br>in 1815, it was extensively repaired the bridge and probably also the tower and the bridge. 1841/1842 the Lahn was made navigable in Runkel, a lock was built, for the directions built the 4 loops on the right bank.<br><br>Information by Heidi Zahir:<br>the bridge was completed in 1448.
