Vörgängerbrücken:<br>Wooden bridge, which was destroyed by ice floes in the first half of the 14th century<br>Stone bridge, built by Count Johann I of Nassau 1359, which was destroyed in the 28.01.1408 by ice floes<br>the subsequent stone bridge was destroyed in 1552 by flood<br>Count Philipp III. the first major Builder of Weilburg built a new stone bridge with six arches then. This was destroyed by ice floes in 1763/64 in the new year's Eve<br>The fourth stone bridge was commissioned by Prince carl Christian, and his building inspector Sckell in 1765 introduced the draft. The pillars were built high in the years 1766-1769. The final stone was used on the 07.10.1769. On the 13.10.1769 bridge was opened to traffic, and shortly thereafter the remaining work have been set, so that the pavement were executed three years later. However it had refused for financial reasons on the stone parapet until 1773 of the white Binder Ludwig in the Lahn crashed. The parapet was added in 1774. The bridge houses were completed in 1789.<br>in 1945, 2 bows were blown up and rebuilt in 1947 in stamped concrete. in 1988, the bridge was repaired extensively.
