Information provided by Heinz Nieveler:
Lengenfeld Stein is the bridge of 'cannon 'train Berlin - Metz through the middle of the place. The line was cut a couple of kilometres further after the second world war by the inner German border and sank into insignificance, particularly as it was located in the outskirts of the area. in 1992, this section was finally closed.

Information by Heidi Zahir:
8 Openings
Railway station on the line of Lengenfeld/Stein is located at km 31.35 of the line and was opened on Dec. 16, 1908.

Radius of 400 m spans the Valley of the Frieda in Lengenfeld/Stein.
The bridge span consists of riveted wrought iron and six two-pronged fish belly girders with each 32 m span and two box beams with the 18. The Rails is 24 m above upper edge of the road. The existing only for a track box girders in parallel truss were renovated in 1907 and 1913. Abutment and Pier (upper thickness 2.80 m) consist of rubble masonry, veneered with sandstone blocks in lime mortar. The last train over this huge building ran on 31.12.1992.
In 2002, members of the cannon Railway Association renewed the decking and secured the railing so that the bridge of the public is accessible. Since it presents itself in new splendour and is accessible even with trolleys. However, it is closed, usually through gates so that the security is ensured.
