Information provided by Ralf A. Flemming:
The construction of the Gülser railway bridge began in April 1877. For the construction of the railway section Hohenrhein/Lahnstein - Koblenz - Gul ("Cannon railway" from Berlin to Metz, decision "Cannon Railway Act" of June 11, 1873, expansion beginning of 1874) the Royal Railway Division (KED) Wiesbaden was at the time responsible for the section of Gul - Ehrang/trier the KED Saarbrücken. In October 1878, the Gülser railway bridge could be inaugurated.
In the course of becoming necessary reconstruction and expansion work, the Gülser railway bridge was a wooden semi-monocoque pedestrian bridge that connected the former Koblenz district Mosel white (incorporated since April 1, 1902) and the then independent municipality of Gül (incorporated since 7 November 1970) and today connects 1925/26 on the South side.

The third Koblenz Moselle bridge passed the traffic in October 1878: known as the "Gülser bridge", also "Gülser Moselle Eisenbahnbrücke" or "Gülser bridge". The village Gul but only on 7 November 1970 disagreement about it, since when this bridge a "Koblenz Moselle bridge" can speak of, since the local Moselle white already was incorporated on April 1, 1902. The today "one of the five Koblenz Moselle bridge" can be referred to as the "Gülser bridge", is now indisputable.

In the "directory of the Mosel bridge" "water and shipping Office in Koblenz and trier" (stand: September 2006) this bridge is known as "Railway bridge, Koblenz Gul".
