<br>The bridge crosses the Landwehr Canal and connects the Kreuzberg of Głogów Street and bread Street in Berlin-Neukölln. It was 1893 on the initiative of the politician Karl von Thielen (1832-1906), who was Prussian Minister of public works in the years 1891 to 1902 when built wooden bascule bridge over the Landwehrkanal. His name was on the 24.08.1894. 1915-1917 the wooden bridge was replaced by a stone bridge. The construction of the Berlin magistrate was Siegmund Loebrocks.
