The old Reichsstraße 1 from Aachen to Königsberg (East Prussia) crossed the or here. Today, the bridge is the end of Federal Highway 1 to the East.<br>The bridge is a construction of 1992.<br>This border crossing between Germany and Poland was opened on the 21.11.1992.<br>The German part comes from the disaster reserve of the Federal Republic.<br><br>Information provided by Hans-Jürgen Otte:<br>The old bridge had been destroyed after the II World War.<br>On the orders of Soviet military power was on Polish page built a new plate girder bridge over three fields. On the German side, the steel above buildings of the destroyed bridge have been fitted again. These buildings had a wood road.<br>Until the turn, the bridge was hardly used because a Russian garrison was located on the barrier island of the oder. The State of the steel above buildings was extremely bad.<br>Bridge in Kietz Küstrin was replaced in 1992 by a D bridge device on the German side.<br>
