The Shimotsui-Seto bridge is a suspension bridge with a span of 940 meters at a total length of 1447 m, [1] making it in 1988, was at her inauguration to the 13 longest bridge of its kind (下津井瀬戸大橋, Shimotsui-Seto-ōhashi). It connects the 205 m (road) and 230 m (railway) long Washūzan tunnel (鷲羽山トンネル, Washūzan-tonneru) on the Japanese main island of Honshū with the island of Hitsuishi-jima (櫃石島), leads to a departure. The clearance height for the passage of ships is 31 meters.
