As a pilot project, epoxy resin-coated reinforcement was installed in the bridge caps of this bridge. To this day, it remains the only bridge in Germany with this type of reinforcement, even though the test results were very positive and over 70,000 bridges with this type of reinforcement have been built in the USA.
