The bridge runs the Modersohn road (until 1951 Hohenlohestraße) between the Bahn Warschauer Straße and Ostkreuz on the tracks of S - train. It was built by the Royal Berlin Railway Division 1913/14 as Hohenlohebrücke. She was at the time 69 m in length 11,95 m wide. The the bridge rolling carrier superstructure of was already cast in concrete and supported by nine brick pillars. The bridge had a roadway and walkways on both sides. She survived World War virtually unscathed. On the 24.05.1951 received analog the road over it - its current name. In the aftermath, many wear showed Modersohn bridge. Several times the S and railway traffic was vulnerable in the 1980s/1990s falling concrete and parts of the wall. Therefore, the bridge was demolished in 1999 and replaced by a temporary pedestrian bridge. The Modersohn bridge as Rod arch bridge with a length of 71.09 metres, a width of 20,36 m and a load of 90 tons was built from 2000 to 2002. (www.luise-berlin.de)
