    It was built in 1909 as a riveted steel truss structure on concrete piers with rubble stone cladding. The girder structure beneath the roadway is constructed in a fishbelly girder design in the central segment. This is a characteristic construction method for the period, but it was rarely used due to the large span required. The bridge is a listed building.
