32. The Warsaw Swietokrzyski Bridge was opened in 2000, almost exactly on site of the previous "temporary" bridge, which nevertheless served the public for almost 20 years. The construction is 475 m long and 30.8 m wide, which makes it one of the widest bridges over Vistula. Occassionally criticised for wasting space on pedestrian pavements and bicycle paths. I would rather criticise the bridge for somewhat aggressive architecture, not quite fitting the neighbourhood. The bridge is designed as a local one, linking just two adjacent districts, so access to the deck is on purpose rather limited. The sixth bridge opened in Warsaw.
