A very special bridge was opened in Mannheim on February 5, 2026. The Franklin Bridge is an architecturally striking bridge structure made of spruce wood and carbon concrete.

Mintarder bridge

Another bridge had to be temporarily closed last week due to a defective expansion joint. The Mintard Bridge carries the A52 motorway over the Ruhr River and is also awaiting replacement.

Berlin Bridge

Another major project is starting these days. The Berlin Bridge in Duisburg needs to be completely rebuilt. The eastern side has been commissioned and will be demolished and rebuilt in the coming days.
